Tie Guy arrives at 8:59 carrying nothing. He spends the morning straightening the only thing he owns, then occupies the chair nearest the copier. At noon he approves one blank page with a slow nod. Nobody assigned the task. Nobody has the clearance to stop him. By five, the tie is immaculate and every other problem has been moved to tomorrow.
